  • Visit to Miahuatlán market; this is a día de plaza, when people from the surrounding communities come to the market to buy and sell goods: organic and heirloom vegetables from their fields, wild honey, freshly baked bread, traditional mezcal, and handmade tortillas
  • Visit to a local bakers making pan de muerto, the traditional bread consumed during Día de los Muertos
  • Visit to a traditional mezcal palenque, where we learn about the process and history of the mezcal of the region directly from the producing family
  • Tasting of traditional mezcal made on site
