SOLD OUT!
Join us in preparing for Día de los Muertos in the Sierra Sur of Oaxaca in a traditional mezcal producing community! We will visit the special once a year flower market to pick up altar making supplies as well as visit with several mezcal producing families, learning about and participating in the traditions that are important during this time of year. We will gather our own wildflowers, collect chapulines (Oaxaca´s famous grasshoppers), build our own altar to honor our loved ones, see the famous pan de muertos being made in a 100 year old bakery, and make tamales with a local family. To be able to experience the tradition we will stay overnight at a mezcal producing ranch, Rancho Los Nahuales, unwinding with a bonfire and locally produced mezcal in the evening.
Write to us here for more information and booking for 2020.
